Fungal Acne | Nizoral vs Cerave SA Cleanser

Hi! I was previously using CosRX SA cleanser but found it a little too drying. I understand many recommend the Nizoral antidandruff shampoo to treat/prevent pimples/fungal acne, but is it comparable or better than the Cerave SA Cleanser? Would u recommend one over the other, or both? I'm looking for a few-times-a-week SA cleanser that can help fight off the stubborn fungal ance around my chin. They've started coming back since I stopped using CosRX SA Cleanser a few months ago but now I'm a little torn over which cleanser I should use. Thanks, everyone!

Hey! i think it's important to first be sure if what you're experiencing is really fungal acne. It's rare for it appear on the chin. it's most common on the arms, chest, back, and if on the face then usually its on the forehead. It appears in clusters and is quite itchy. if you're sure it's fungal acne then Nizoral is the better option. Ingredients like ketoconazole, clotrimazole, etc are good for fungal acne. You can also look for other OTC antifungal options. If it's fungal acne then regular acne treatments may make it worse so be careful. There are also other things to take note of such as diet, medications, etc. In any case, it might be better to see a derm to confirm what it is and ask them for the treatment. if you still want to buy an SA cleanser, cerave, cosrx and the inkey list one are all good options. Hope this helps. 🤗 Good luck 💪🏻
