Sunscreen pilling

I read that pilling happens when a water based product is used with an oil based product, but today I used a water based sunscreen beneath a water based bb cream and it pilled so bad 😞 What do you do when that happens? Do you try to salvage the look with a setting spray? Or do you redo your whole skincare routine?

I agree with the previous comments that waiting a few minutes for the sunscreen to fully set on the soin will probably be helpful. I also like to use a beauty sponge to apply my foundation because it will be the least disruptive on the layers of skincare underneath it.

maybe try to let the sunscreen dries up first and apply the bb cream layer by layer. I tried to do that with my skin aqua sunscreen and it worked

I found that if I added too much product and didn’t allow enough time for it to soak into my skin, the product would start pilling

you can try to wait a bit longer after you apply your moisturizer to let it fully sink into the skin and dry up. Then you can try applying spf layer by layer. But I personally would try to change moisturizing Lotion for a lighter texture like gel maybe 🤔

also you need to give time in all steps for each product to get absorbed, if not you will get pilling whatever you do
