My accutane journey

Hi. On april or may i shared here my acne problem. I was having cistic acne and i was not ready to go on a dermatologist because i knew they would say the accutane was my only option. And i didn’t want to take any medication. I’m a very curius person and also have some friends that take some medications from acne treatmeant and they have so many effects. I did not want this for me and for a while i try everything i could do. But, at the end i went to dermatologist and start the treatmeant with accutane. I have to say the i was very luck with me treatmeant, because o did not have the most comun reactions. I start taking in june and finish on the end of november. The dose my doctor prescribed was 20mg after my 2 main meals. After 15 days i start to feel my skin more sensitive and more dry, after that it didn’t get worse. I only use products that help my skin keep hydrated, I also started drinking more water (3L per day). During this time i still have acne for almost 3 months. After this time they stop and the redness that i have started to decrease and my skin was start to look the way she used to be. About side effects: •I have dry lips but notjing extreme bad. •My skin was more sensitive, so when i take a hot shower or dry my hajr, my skin was very red. But after a few minutes everything was fine. •I have a very unsual effect: excess sweat. For me was so bad this. I live in Brazil, and my state it’s not one of those that feels like summer the whole year, but i was sweating a lot. The first 2 and a half months was winter (june, july and august), and ir was a little less worse. October and november was hell. There some photos from before i start the accutane, during e after. The accutane really help, but my dermatologist told me that my skincare was a really important. Because i didn’t have terrible scars or a lot of dark spots. I don’t think accutane its for every case, its a very strong medication, you have to do exames every month, you need to have a balance lifestyle and really trust you doctor. I only have a problem with acne before the pandemic and i was able to treat without doctors, only with skincare and some vitamins. But i researched a lot before doing and take anything. if anyone has any questions i would love to help and if you are interested I can talk about what I used during the treatment.
