I use a lot of hair products and honestly lump leave-in creams, leave-in conditioners, hair serums into one category — the leave-in treatments.
Basically I have my pre-treatments (Olaplex 3 or any products used before shampooing), cleansers (diff kinds of shampoos), wash-off conditioners, wash-off treatment/masks, leave-in treatments, stylers (antifrizz, smoothing creams, curling creams, air-dry creams, hair sprays, mousse), heat protectors, and hair oils. You don’t need to have one in every category, just what your hair needs. And just like in skin care, finding the right hair products involves a lot of trials and errors.
My hair is medium wavy/curly, different from yours but it’s thin/thinning and breaks easily too. I also color, blow dry, and flat iron regularly. Among the products I use and love, I believe these will work for your fine hair: Joico Defy Damage line, Redken Acidic Bonding line, and, if you use hot tools, Kenra Platinum Blow-Dry Mist. Joico Defy Damage
Protective Shield and Redken Acidic Perfecting Concentrate Leave-In Treatment are lightweight, I would consider them serums.

I completely agree with abc1111, since using Joico especially the hair mask my hair has become much more healthier. I have fine brittle hair due to color treatments and found using Joico hair mask twice a week has provided amazing results without the need of a hair serum. Although Joico is a bit more expensive than most, it's definitely worth every penny.
BTW, I also found rinsing my hair in cooler water helps my hair tremendously.

Do you dye your hair? If your hair breaks easily and are hard to untangle, I would recommending changing the brush to fit your hair. For long straight hair, big brushes are better, for curly hair smaller brushes are better.
It's also good to know your hair porosity, you can easily check it - take a single hair, put it in a glass of water, if it floats then your hair porosity is low, if it's stuck in middle then it's mid porosity and if it's on the bottom then you've got high porosity hair. Each porosity needs different care.
For brushing, Christophe Robin Detangling Gel helps a lot. Good mask is also useful - I changed to Olaplex No 3 (it's better to do it with No 0 and then No 3) and L'oreal Professionnel Absolut mask - I don't need Detangling Gel anymore.
If it comes to hair serums - rituals hair serum is nice, but it costs a lot and amount is small. Mise en scene - amazing Korean brand, on low porosity hair it does miracles. Kerastase serums are nice but expensive.
I have dry ends and oily roots too, what we can do to help our hair is using oils on the ends - olaplex and gisou do their job on my hair.

Do you know the porosity of your hair? I personally have low porosity hair - products sit on my hair with out soaking in due to the closed hair shaft. My hair also tends towards dry while product weighs it down and builds up . I would suggest googling Hair porosity and then try to build your routine around that.
