Lmao I can relate with the Aztec mask. It does seem like our skin is vibrating like a heartbeat 🤣🤣🤣
Clay masks for me helps with thoroughly deep cleansing the skin. It helps to draw out gunks and impurities in the pores. After any clay mask session, my skin feels really soft, clean, less congested and looks brighter. It does give a mild exfoliation effect, especially if the mask has a grainy or course texture.
I've been using clay masks from various brands for the longest time, and they work well for my oily skin. Just make sure to pump up the hydration after since it can be drying - the Aztec one is very drying though and it cracks on the skin like those old, traditional style clay masks of the past 😂

Clay masks are good for removing excess oils and cleaning pores but you shouldn't wait until it is completely dry otherwise it will damage your skin.

I avoid clay mask for my skin type as it strips oil and cleanses the pores abit more. If I do need some clay mask I only apply on my Tzone and nowhere else.
I prefer a jelly mask that aids in hydration or a sheet mask

I really enjoy both clay and mud masks. They pull out gunk from my pores, and help control excess sebum.
