Depending on your skin type, I think stick balms are great at providing an occlusive layer on the skin as the last step. They help seal everything in and prevent transepidermal water loss.
As someone with combination skin, I only really use them on dry patches. They're also great to help prevent windburn or frostnip.
I've tried the PYK one, only thing I don't like about it is the scent can be a bit overpowering.

I find them really helpful for dry skin, especially in the winter with cold, dry air indoors and outside. My skin can get tight, itchy and uncomfortable when -9C winds are blowing and literally stripping moisture away as I walk to do some errands.
so I find them helpful as an occlusive layer that's more travel friendly than a tub of vaseline.
If you have oily skin, or live in a humid, tropical climate, YMMV.

I have a Multi Balm. It is very occlusive that I mostly use it on my lips or on dry and cold season. It feels like applying a thin layer of Vaseline (petroleum jelly) and most of the time, I don't like the feeling. I think people with oily dkin wouldn't enjoy it

Thank you @micho, @robynrose and @mochiface for sharing! 🥰 Seems like in general it functions as occlusive. In terms of preventing lines and wrinkles do you think these stick balms would help?
