Dry/Sensitive
exfoliation doesn't really have an age it just depends on the condition of your skin.
teenage skin is still growing, so it has high cell turnover on its own, but hormones and oil production are still high, so pore clogging will still occur.
if you are young, start out with gentle, low % exfoliants, and use the ones targeted for your skin
AHA - dry skin and surface issues
BHA - oily skin and comodones
PHA - sensitive skin

I think it all depends on the person themselves and their skin. Beauty has no age.

Dry/Sensitive
I think it depends more on your skincare needs. I have mature dry sensitive skin and have always been hesitant surrounding the use of Exfoliates until I found Clinique 2-1 Cleansing + Exfoliating Jelly. It provides a very gentle yet effective cleansing. I would suggest purchasing trial sizes first for providing a wide variety to select from while discovering the best one for you, without breaking the bank. I'm not sure if Clinique offers the 2-1 Jelly in a trial size but I do know Macy's and Ulta sells the Clinique 7 day scrub in a trial size for a reasonable price.
