It’s worth a shot if that is the only salicylic acid you have in hand. If it doesn’t work, it makes a great cleanser for oilier skin types.

If the break outs are not normal to your skin then certain go through and try to figure out the cause, of course some causes like hormonal cannot totally be eliminated. A facial steam is a great way to open the pores post cleansing. Find a cleanser formulated for acne that your skin can tolerate. Always remember not to scrub your skin aggressively or this can aggravate your skin causing more issues. Rinse well using tepid water. Next, I do definitely recommend either benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or alpha-hydroxy acid. You may find one of these works better than another too. I would recommend not using it everyday until you see how your skin tolerates it. Maybe every 3 days working your way toward everyday if needed.. I highly recommend the acne spot patches for individual pimples overnight. Make sure if they're not medicated to put a very small dab on before applying the patch. And a moisturizer is vital with oily skin too as I have it with acne tendencies too. Make sure its a water based one to prevent more issues. Drink lots of water as it really is your skins best friend!!

I do have breakouts but they're very occasional. I'm sure they're not hormonal as I've never had that issue.. I recently tried a pha toner and think this is happening because of that but I'm still not sure..
