Numbness when doing skincare

Hi! I recently realised that the skin near my mouth area (like in between my upper lip and nose) has this numb sensation when I'm doing my skincare routine. The numb feeling starts around when I apply my toner. But the numbness slowly disappears after I apply my moisturiser. It's not a bad irritating sensation, just numb. It disappears fairly quickly too and there's no breakout on that area. I wonder what might cause this, and if it's a bad sign? 🤔 Edit: Is numb = tingling sensation? How does tingling sensation feel? ;-;

I also experienced the same numb sensation to an essence toner around my mouth. I do experienced it for about a week and afterwards i never feel numb around my mouth anymore when i applied the product. It disappears. I dont know why. But is it because my skin can tolerate it now or it just get used to it? How long have u experienced this?

Maybe around a month? I used to avoid the lip area when doing skincare because it's just really sensitive 😅 I only started applying my skincare there like, a month ago. My lip area is a little bit sensitive compared to other parts but it's also the most clear area. I know something is wrong when it breaks out around that part, like a little indicator (aside from patch testing). And even when I use sheet masks I never stick it on my upper lips, I just leave it hanging because it'll get all itchy even just by the roughness of sheet mask. I'm thinking that maybe it's because that area is more sensitive so it'll react to whatever products I put...?

Maybe you are allergic on some ingredients of the product you use??? 🤔😊

Hmm.. I doubt so. My skin had an itchy reaction to one of the serum I used before and this doesn't give me that kind of feeling.

If you really avoid the lip area and it still gets irritated, then your skin has an allergic reaction to some of the ingredient(s) stop using it and give it away to somebody.:)

That's sounds bizarre, very bizarre. Might ask for a professional advice and stop using it. It's very uncommon. Never happened to me

This kinda sounds different. Numb or tingling?

I don't know if I can call it tingling...? 😅 But it's not itchy or painful, just, like, numb. Maybe it's also tingling..?
