Yes, your skin type can change with age. It's totally normal!π
(And are you talking about Kelley Driscoll? If you are, I lovvee her!)
Also, you mentioned you don't like serums cause they're too potent? Well ampoules are a even more concentrated (potent) form than that of a serum.. since this is the case, maybe an essence would be better suited for you.? (Essences are meant to provide hydration to your skin). Are you using an essence?

The aloe moist toner from secret key was my first and I loved it from Kelly driscoll's recommendations. Later because of peg and HA dropped it. Loved the rose from secret key but because of fragrance stopped using i might give it a try again it was seriously hydrating.
I've used cosrx essence which caused acne.
And have also used dokdo toner I felt it cleaned well and helped with texture alot.
Anua for acne it was nice medium hydrating and all but wasn't helping with texture and was sticky.
Ferments don't work for my skin and ohh sodium Hyaluronate sucks all moisture out of my skin

Have you tried lotions/emulsion yet? I think its exactly what you need! π₯°
They are lighter than a moisturizer but thicker than a toner. I like to layer an emulsion with a normal moisturizer and it absolutely saves my dry skin in the winter! ππ
If you haven't heard of them yet watch this video! https://youtu.be/FHi8gbGkfsI

Look for hydrating and nourishing ampoules that can provide an extra boost of moisture to your skin, and If you find serums to be too potent, you can focus on lighter formulations such as essences or lightweight moisturizers.

Try hydrating jellies. They're all-in-one products that you apply after your face wash and/or toner. And before your moisturizing sunscreen.
