tiny bumps on forehead and chin

i have these tiny bumps and they just wont go away. i dont think its fungal acne because its not red or itchy. i have tried lots of products but they are so stubborn. my forehead also looks super shiny when i look at a mirror. but it doesn’t really feel oily? i was wondering what my condition would be called. and what products/routine anyone recommends. thank youuu!!

The tiny bumps on your skin could be closed comedones, which are clogged pores. They may not be red or itchy, indicating they're not fungal acne. The shiny appearance on your forehead could be due to excess sebum production. To address this, follow a skincare routine: cleanse with a gentle cleanser twice a day, use a chemical exfoliant (like salicylic acid or glycolic acid) a few times a week to unclog pores, moisturize with an oil-free product, and apply sunscreen daily. Keep your face clean and dry, especially after sweating, and be patient as results may take time.

definitely looks like closed comedones although i could be wrong. a simple routine and exfoliating 2 - 3x a week. for me retinol also worked very well, but with retinol you also purge. if you are using a cleansing oil/balm id suggest looking at the ingredients as some may be clogging your pores. also changing pillow cases more frequently can also help with closed comedones. products i recommend: 1. innisfree retinol cica repaire serum, it has very little retinol so it minimises irritation to the skin. 2. cosrx bha blackhead power liquid, a very gentle and moisturising exfoliator. 3. cerave sa cleanser with salycilic acid really helps with cleaning the skin and doesn’t strip the skin but enough to clean excess oil. hope this helps!

You're welcome! I'm glad I could help. Here are some product recommendations Morning Routine: 1. Cleanse: Start by cleansing your face with the Round Lab Dokdo Cleanser or a gentle water-based cleanser suitable for your skin type. Rinse off with warm water. 2. Tone: Apply a hydrating toner like the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner using a cotton pad or by gently patting it into your skin. 3. Moisturize: Follow up with a lightweight moisturizer. Apply a small amount and gently massage it onto your face until fully absorbed. 4. Sunscreen: Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Some recommended Korean sunscreens for oily skin, Reapply sunscreen every two hours if you're exposed to the sun throughout the day. Evening Routine: 1. Double Cleanse: Begin with an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup and sunscreen, followed by the Round Lab Dokdo Cleanser or a gentle water-based cleanser to thoroughly cleanse the skin. 2. Tone: Apply the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner using a cotton pad or by gently patting it into your skin. 3. Exfoliating: Once or twice a week, you can incorporate a gentle exfoliating treatment like a chemical exfoliator (e.g., AHA or BHA) 4. Moisturize: Apply a lightweight moisturizer suitable for oily skin, Gently massage it onto your face until fully absorbed.

As for the shiny appearance on your forehead, oil-absorbing sheets can be a game-changer. They help to remove excess oil and reduce the shine throughout the day. Just a quick dab, and you're good to go! And it's actually a common issue, especially for people with oily skin like us. When the weather gets hot, our skin tends to produce more sebum, which can lead to clogged pores and those pesky bumps 💖

Advice from someone who used to suffer with closed comedomes and now no longer has it. Everyone’s tips on your comment section is extremely correct and helpful but I just wanted to mention that lifestyle and diet was the biggest factor I had to change to get rid of the closed comedomes. So make sure your diet does not contain too much sugar or saturated fats as that leads to inflammation and hence can lead to closed comedomes. Also make sure to get enough sleep and don’t be too stressed out. Take it from someone who’s skin went from the first pic to now (the 4th pic) :)With ilhame’s tips you’ll have clear skin in no time.🫶
