I tended to use a thicker cream when I was using Tretinoin, these I found really hydrating and stopped any drying out from the Tret. Some are more lightweight so not to overload the oily parts of my combination skin, but all are deeply hydrating and reinforces the skin barrier to reduce transepidermal water loss
