What is the difference between kajal and eyeliner?

I tried Googling it, but I’m still confused.

Kajal and eyeliner are both used for eye makeup, but they have some key differences: Kajal: Origin: Kajal is traditionally used in South Asia and the Middle East. Consistency: It often has a creamier or waxier texture, making it easy to apply along the waterline and lash line. Intensity: Kajal tends to create a smudged, smoky look, and it may not provide as sharp and precise lines as eyeliner. Ingredients: Kajal is sometimes formulated with natural ingredients like soot or oils and can have additional skincare benefits. Eyeliner: Origin: Eyeliner is more of a Western makeup concept, although it's now widely used globally. Consistency: Eyeliner comes in various forms, including pencil, liquid, gel, or pen, allowing for a range of line thickness and precision. Precision: It is typically used for well-defined lines, cat eyes, and various creative eye makeup looks. Ingredients: Eyeliner formulas vary, and they may contain a mix of ingredients for long-lasting wear and different textures. In summary, the main difference lies in their origin, texture, and the type of look they create. Kajal often provides a softer, smudged look, while eyeliner offers more precision and versatility. Your choice between the two depends on the makeup style you want to achieve.

Dry/Resilient

There are many difference between Kajal and eyeliner. I have always heard that kajal has got medicinal properties while we all know eyeliner is used for different makeup looks and styles such as winged eyeliner. We can get that smudged or smokey look by the help of an Kajal but we can't get that smokey effect by eyeliners as they tend to give a more cleaner look, even most of them are waterproof . Even the way we apply them is different; kajal is applied at the waterline while eyeliner is applied on the waterline. And yeah Kajal, it's a cultural thing in South Asia, we love to make it by ourselves applying it on every occasion it looks soo gooddd, we even apply it on daily basis😭✨
