I had issues with my makeup pilling when using The Ordinary hyaluronic acid serum, but no issues with their niacinamide serum. Maybe try to use less product and see if pilling improves?

Pilling can occur due to various factors, including the specific products you're using and the order in which you apply them.
Here are some tips to help minimize pilling with The Ordinary Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid:
👉Overloading your skin with too much product can increase the chances of pilling. Try using a smaller amount of the serums.
👉Make sure to let each product absorb fully into your skin before applying the next one. This typically takes a minute or two. This waiting time can help prevent pilling
👉Layer from thinnest to thickest,in your case, you can apply the Niacinamide first, followed by the Hyaluronic Acid, and then your moisturizer.
👉Gently pat or press, don't rub, this can reduce the chances of disturbing the layers and causing pilling.
👉Some moisturizers may be more prone to causing pilling when combined with certain serums. You might want to experiment with different moisturizers to find one that works well with your serums.
👉If you've tried these suggestions and are still experiencing pilling. Then you can stop it ✋.
