Is this the cause of purging?

So this was gifted by my friend and when I used it and paired it with retinol., ( I guess they're not compatible? ) I feel this is the culprit of pimples on my jaw :( anyone tried this product? I'm using isntree aloe soothing gel moisturizer before maybe I will go back on using it. I'm using Isntree Aloe Soothing Gel with the By Wishtrend Bakuchiol and I don't have any problem with it. When it ran out, I'm using Innisfree instead then I notice some pimples on my jaw and chin. Can anyone suggest other ways to empty this innisfree? I can't sell it now since I used it.

Hi there, the Innisfree cream does not contain any actives and as such, cannot be the reason why you're "purging". If you are just started using the By Wishtrend cream, then that could be the reason why. It is possible that the cream doesn't suite your skin, but typically skincare products aren't the cause of a sudden acne flare-up. It could enviromental, hormonal, stress levels, etc. If the cream isn't working for you, just use in your body.

Hi there, I think it maybe due to the aloe gel helps to slow down the retinal penetration into the skin, while the innisfree not being to do that. Try using the innisfree cream on its own to find out that if it's the reason of skin irritation. Else if it only happens when you're pairing with retinal cream, then it's most probably purging.

I don’t know if this is the case for you but my skin does not like bakuchiol, I tried a couple of products with it and broke me out everytime! I’m not actively looking for a retinal/retinol so I don’t have any suggestion right now but there are plenty of products you can find without bakuchiol. I really hope this helps 🙆‍♀️
