Oily/Resilient
Do no use retinol with BHA and AHA. It's best to alternate them. Retinol and vitamin c can be used together; however, if you're experiencing irritation, you should use vitamin c in the morning and retinoids/chemical exfoliate at night.
I encourage you to look into skin cycling. A great method to avoid skin damage.

Dry/Resilient
Thanks for reminding me! I’ve been so used to using that toner and I forgot not to combine it with retinol. I used to use rice toner. Can I ask more about skin cycling? How does it work? What are the steps?

Dry/Sensitive
You want to really hold off on using any actives until your skin becomes retinized. Retinol speeds up cell turnover so in the beginning your skin may be ultra sensitive to things like AGA/BHA’s and it can cause irritation and even damage your skin barrier. To me using retinol helps with the shedding of skin so actives that exfoliate are doubling up on that and it’s really easy to cause your skin irritation. I would hold off on using any actives until your skin becomes accustomed.
