Retinoid Vs Retinol

Are they the same thing?? I’ve been told that some people just need to use a retinoid cream and their skin clears up. I’ve honestly been really interested in trying some out but I’m afraid that it might be too early to use any since it sounds similar to retinol.

Retinoid is the biggest umbrella term. Under retinoid there's retinol, adapalene, retinal etc. not everyone needs retinoid to clear up their skin. There's many with just changes to their lifestyle, use suitable skincare products and know the cause of acne

For skin clearing you need an adapalene or a prescribed tretinoin. But I think that better decision would be to see the dermatologist 👍
