How Long?

How long should it take to get used to new products?? I’ve recently bought a lot of new products to replace the ones that were most likely causing me to break out. I know I can’t introduce all of them at once so I’ll start with the new cleansing oil and moisturizer that I bought. I had to throw my old ones away since they had clogging ingredients and I had my suspicions that they were a major reason to why my skin started to break out a lot. I don’t know how long I’m supposed to wait to try out the other products though.

Give it at least a week unless they have actives that would cause a purging period and then add smth new; you shld be able to at least start with your basic double cleanse and moisturizer from the get-go though. If smth in that grouping messes w your skin, take out your cleansing oil and try just water-based cleanser and moisturizer for a bit. Hope this helps and best of luck!!

Dry/Sensitive

Considering I have sensitive skin, if a product causes irritation the first few times of using it, I stop using it. I would suggest doing a patch test beforehand.

I'd say about a week or two is a good indicator, depending on your skin and type of product. Cleansers are easy to tell, so a week is good enough for me. Products like serums and exfoliants can take longer. Some people have extremely sensitive skin that can react on first application. Some require a bit longer use until their skin decides whether it likes it or not.
