I love a combination of Vitamin C, Niacinamide, and Azelaic Acid for fading discoloration/hyperpigmentation, brightening the skin in the process. Here are some products I’ve used and loved(it does take some consistent use).

Use Vitamin C on AM and Niacinamide on PM. Make sure to apply sunscreen every three hours as possible when using Vitamin C.
