Use an occlusive like Aquaphor or a thick ceramide and panthenol cream to keep the area moist and help the skin heal faster.

I know this sounds crazy but hydrocolloid patches (pimple patches) have always perfectly healed my skin after I pop my pimples or use a needle to get my milia out. I leave them on until they naturally fall off though so you might not get away with it if it’s a huge patch sticking to your face, but these patches work crazy well and I’ve never had a scar or dark spot left over using the pimple patch method. I’m thinking the same logic would apply here

I wish picky would let me reply to your comment but the pimple patches usually fall off on their own after a week of keeping them on even through showers/washing face. Once it falls off on its own, the skin underneath has always healed for me. After the patch falls off, the wound has closed and healed over so there’s nothing that the patch can latch onto since it’s healed over. I think it would only reopen if you peeled the pimple patch off too soon (1-2 days being too soon). I highly recommend you leave it on as lonnnng as you can but no longer than 2 weeks. If it falls off before, just put another patch on no worries!
