With retinol you mostly need to avoid vitamin c, aha/bha and acne things like salcytic acid.
I do retinol 2 days on and 2 days off so I can alternate those in. Its always best to start off slow and build up.

I make sure to use a light cream, then retinol then cream again. It's the sandwich method. Try once a week then every other day

Hey there! So, you're thinking about adding retinol to your skincare routine? Cool move! Here are a few things I've picked up along the way:
- Before diving in, it's a good idea to do a little test patch, you know, just to see how your skin reacts.
- Start slow and steady. It's not a race. Begin with a lower concentration and ease your way up.
- Oh, and keep that beautiful face hydrated! Moisturize before applying retinol to keep any potential dryness at bay.
- Sunscreen is your new BFF. Seriously, always wear it during the day because retinol can make your skin more sensitive to the sun.
- If you've got any doubts or concerns, chatting with a dermatologist could be super helpful, especially if your skin is on the sensitive side.
As for what not to mix it with:
- Steer clear of any super harsh exfoliants or strong acids. They can team up with retinol and make your skin go, "Whoa, too much!"
- Be cautious with products containing benzoyl peroxide. Some folks can handle it fine alongside retinol, but for others, it might be a bit much.
- Oh, and keep an eye out for ingredients like alcohol or fragrances. They might not play nice with retinol.
When it comes to applying it:
- Wash your face, chill for a bit, let it dry, then apply a tiny amount of retinol. Seriously, a little goes a long way.
- Be gentle around the eyes and lips—those areas are delicate!
- Moisturize afterward to lock in hydration and keep your skin feeling happy.
- Nighttime is the right time for retinol. Pop it on before bed, and let it work its magic while you catch those Zzz's.
- And don't rush it! Start with a few times a week and gradually increase to nightly use as your skin gets used to it.
Hope that helps, and here's to glowing skin! 🌟

Retinol is applied after toner and serum. Just apply it before the cream.
Do you apply it twice in the morning and evening? I only apply it at night.
