Skincare in 38 degrees!

How do you manage your skincare routine in a hot summer? Daily temperature is rising to 38 degrees Celsius at my place and I'm feeling too hot. It's too hot for me to use any sunscreen or moisturizer as I sweat instantly after applying it. I have acne prone skin and I find myself not being able to use products that calm my acne. I even need to cleanse twice a day for the sweat. Do you have any suggestions? ๐Ÿ˜…

Do you have any Cica or Centella Asiatica products? Ice rollers/ icecubes whatever you have might help as well to cool the skin and help shrink the pores a bit to help with sebum/ sweat without irritating further๐Ÿ’–

I finished my cica products before summer but I might as well look into it and I do have ice cubes at home, I will use them on my face to cool down! Thank you for your recommendation!๐Ÿฅฐ

That's pretty much our daily average temperature here in south east asia ๐Ÿ˜‚ The best way I've found that works for such high temperatures + humidity is to simplify the routine as much possible and use lightweight products. Less is better. Toners and serums aren't necessary and you can skip moisturizer if your sunscreen is moisturizing enough on its own. But if you can't/don't want to skip those steps, then choose lightweight textures. Watery hydrating toners, essences or serums and gel type moisturizers. Go for sweat and water resistant sunscreens and if you have oily skin, opt for matte finish sunscreen instead.

I do have unopened toners so I will use them now. As for my sunscreens, I didn't finish my last one and even though it is hydrating, I look all sweaty with it. I will have to look for sunscreens with matte finish now. ๐Ÿ˜… Ironically it's one of the coldest countries and the temperature goes upto -40 degrees Celsius for winter and upto 40 degrees Celsius during summer. It's my second year with a proper routine and it was helpful to know about people who experienced the same thing as me. Thank you!โ˜บ๏ธ
