The more you learn about skincare, the more complex it seems to be.๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

I'm into checking out cosmetic ingredients on a site called Skinsort these days! ๐Ÿ˜Ž The ingredients are important in skincare products, but if you look at the reviews that depend on the products that use the ingredients that we recognize as bad There are some users who have bad ingredients, but they are satisfied with it or have no irritation to them, so I clearly felt that skincare really depends on the individual.๐Ÿค” Figuring out my skin first! The easiest and hardest thing to do!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Indeed. What works for you may not work with others. Another thing about ingredients that formulators and chemist have learn is that how the ingredients work together for the formula. Salt sounds weird to be use in a cleanser but itโ€™s there to make the gel thicker and less runny to make it easy to apply. Surfactant in lotion feels wrong but in that formula it acts as a emulsifier to keep the oil and water ingredients mix

This is so true, a lot of harsh surfactants can break me out when used in large amounts in cleansers, but seem to be fine when used as emulsifiers in lotions

I personally love checking ingredients lists to see what works for me. I love INCI decoder because if you want, there is in depth science based backing to their claims. A lot of the time with product checking apps they take ingredient tests at face value without accounting for how it is formulated :)

Yes, figuring out if it can irritate or not is confusing to me, that's why I think minis or sample sachet can help (not always but it's worth trying!)

Yes thatโ€™s why I donโ€™t always count on someone elseโ€™s regimen working for me. Itโ€™s a lot of trial and error until you figure out what your skin likes
