While it's technically possible to use retinal immediately after kojic acid, it's generally not recommended since Kojic acid tends to be more effective at a lower pH (around 5.5), while retinal works best at a slightly higher pH (around 6.0). Applying retinol immediately after kojic acid might affect the efficacy of one or both products, Both kojic acid and retinol can be irritating, especially if used together without a buffer. Applying them one after the other may increase the risk of redness, itching, or stinging, retinal might not penetrate as effectively if applied immediately after kojic acid, as the skin's pH and moisture levels may not be optimal.
Consider waiting at least 30 minutes to an hour after applying kojic acid before using retinal. This allows the kojic acid to absorb and work on your skin without interfering with the retinol. If you still experience irritation, consider alternating nights or using a gentle moisturizer in between applications!

I really appreciate your response, it has helped me a lot. What I am planning to do is use them on separate days just in case. Thank you very much again, it was very helpful!!!
