Beware Fake Scammer Emails!
I got so excited when I saw I had an email from one of my favorite brands Skin1004, but after reading it I knew something wasn’t right. This is the same email many creators have received, and it’s still going around….
👀Watch out for scan emails claiming to be brands!
✨Why someone would do this is beyond me😩 but be on the lookout for this email from and other emails like it claiming to be beauty brands wanting to collaborate.
Red Flags 🚩
•The email address-for Skin1004 it’s not a gmail address, the correct should say @Korea.com
•Not calling you specifically by name, copying and pasting your Instagram or Tiktok screen name.
•Look for typos like mistakes and missed spelled words.
•Asking for money💶 to pay for shipping, buy products and they will reimburse you $, or offering a ridiculous amount for compensation💰💰💰
•Being vague on highlighting your amazing creating aspects, if they truly looked at your page and not just copy and pasted the same email.
•Be weary for emails they mention ambassadorship, that’s not to say that brands won’t reach out for this, but it’s usually after you have applied for them.
•Be careful to not click on any links 🔗 unless you make sure the email is legit.
•Skin1004 Global Marketing’s Subin Chole Choi wouldn’t use a gmail address.
🤨If something feels or looks wrong to use go with your gut feeling. You can research and validate information online, Instagram, or Tiktok. Also don’t be afraid to reach out and ask, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
We all work hard creating the best content we can, and we dream of connecting with incredible brands such as Skin1004. It’s a want of all beauty creators to get that email asking to collaborate, and the excitement of seeing it in our inbox. Shame on them for doing this.
Please be safe don’t fall for scammers like this one.
Make sure their legit before you give them any information.
As a beauty community we gotta look out for each other, hope this helps out.
