I still use this face mist up to this day and I'd spray it on my face at night before I go to sleep and in the morning when I wake up to get that extra boost of hydration. It very soothing and calming and I especially love soaking my skin with this mist while having a cup of coffee and eating breakfast in the morning.
The main ingredients listed on QUICKFX's Instagram account are:
- Sea Water
- Glycerin
- Sodium Hyaluronate
- Allantoin
- Hydrolyzed Collagen
Now, there's some debate about hydrolyzed collagen since it still has an average molecular weight of about 12,000 Da (daltons) and for a substance to penetrate the skin, it needs to have a molecular weight of only 500-1000 Da. 500 Da if your pores are as tight as that K-Pop idol you've been fantasizing about in your dreams and 1000 Da if your pores are as wide as your sister's mouth. But then of course, I'm just kidding. Don't ask where the margin of difference comes from coz I can't be smart and pretty at the same time LOL.
Also, I've read online that this face mist has Witch Hazel Extract, which Paula Begoun (our sis who founded Paula's Choice) classified as "poor" and "irritating/sensitizing". She mentioned that depending on which part of the witch hazel plant you're getting the extract from, you cloud be exposing your skin to an unprecedented amount of tannins (astringent) and/or alcohol. She said the plant's leaves are the least to leave any harmful by-products but since witch hazel water is distilled from all parts of the plant, we never really know what we're getting.
