This is so much more than an Essence. It's base of maple sap makes this Essence so incredibly hydrating , rich in antioxidants and skin soothing ingredientslike panthenol. Raw Sauce has a beautiful fat texture, it's thick yet it's not oily. What I have noticed whilst using this is that the skin absorves it very well and I notice a plumping effect from this hydration. The bottle is in glass and feels heavy and luxurious, the cap is a plastic that mimics wood. It's very elegant like the product itself.
