Kiehl’s Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque is one such mask. I received this as part of gift set late last year.
Kiehl’s Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque claims to be a protective and replenishing overnight facial mask that defends against impurities and environmental aggressors. I must admit pollution is not something I have considered when looking for skin care, but now I am more aware of it.
The Cilantro & Orange Extract mask is a leave on mask. Texture wise, it is a smooth and creamy pistachio-coloured paste with the consistency of a cream.
As I expected, the cream mask does have a rather sharp, green scent, a little reminiscent of this pungent herb so be sure to take a sniff to see if you like it.
While it’s well known for its dirt-pulling properties, it’s considered gentle enough for sensitive skin, and has been shown in studies to be non-irritating however I noticed tingling sensation every time I used it and noticed redness in skin so after few uses I stopped using it.
