The Dr.Ceuracle Kombucha Tea Essence is a bi-phase toner formulated with 780,000ppm kombucha tea extract (vegan tea complex) to balance skin’s oil-water levels, provide deep hydration and strengthen the skin barrier. This toner gives our skin a thorough detox due to the fermentation and creates a healthy skin biome. Rich in probiotics and Vitamin B, the kombucha extract helps to strengthen the skin and prevent the damaging effects of oxidation while balancing hydration. It also contains Camellia sinensis leaf (green tea) water makes up 58.9% and Schisandra chinensis fruit (omija) extract, both powerful antioxidants, further hydrate and protect. Sunflower seed oil aids in a supple glow.
My Experience
I didn’t expect to fall in love with this toner. I mean, yes, it has great ingredients and so much raving reviews. But I don’t like watery toners, I never have and I never will. I need my toners to have a body and preferably be thick. But this toner, this toner is my one exception to the rule. From the moment I received it and saw the beautiful eco packaging, to holding the heavy frosted glass bottle, to seeing the beautiful bi-phase colours (reminds me of milk tea and I LOVE milk tea) to watching it blend together when shaken; the whole experience has been gorgeous. But there was still that watery texture I didn’t fancy. So with no expectations, I applied it for the first time to my face. And that immediate glow it gave me - with just one layer - as a toner - is just outstanding. I’ve never experienced a glow from a TONER before. EVER. And that was it. I fell in love. It’s now a staple in my routine and will be a constant repurchase.
Fun fact: With fermentation, substances are broken down in the presence of bacteria, creating a healthy microbiome for our skin. The benefits are increased potency, increased penetration, and increased preservation of the product.
