I honestly don't think it's done anything but maintain the status quo for my skin, which isn't necessarily bad since my skin's "normal" is mostly fine, but it certainly hasn't done anything especially notable to its benefit either. So I'm basically paying $12-$15 for it do nothing. Also has a reeeeaally strong smell that I'm not particularly fond of.

This is...fine. It hasn't made my skin worse, as far as I can tell. Ingredients all check out. It's a weird but kinda nice texture. Will probably last a long time.
