Madagascar Centella Ampoule

product review positives
Key ingredients: 🌿100% Centella Asiatica 🌿 That’s right - this is 100% PURE cica, the super ingredient for those with sensitive skin to strengthen their skin barrier. Did you know? 🐯Tigers were apparently recorded rolling in Centella Asiatica/Cica after fights to heal their wounds faster. Key features: 💧Clear, runny/watery texture 🚫No fragrance 🚫No sticky/tacky after-feel 💭Thoughts: I also feel the need to mention the packaging as it is just GORGEOUS and so well thought out. On the front it just seems like a lightly tinted bottle but if you turn it 180°, there’s actually a photo of Madagascar Island, where Skin1004 sources their cica from, on the back of the label. The end of the dropper is also slanted to make it easier to get those last bits of ampoule out at the end which is just amazingly thoughtful as most companies tend to overlook this.
product review negatives
To be honest, I have not really felt any of the effects of this ampoule as I have pretty good skin generally (healthy, non-compromised skin barrier). Its runny texture + fragrance-free feature means it almost feels like adding water to my face and because it is so runny, it is difficult to apply by adding the drops to my fingers. Instead, I’ve taken to using the dropper straight on my face (being careful not to touch my face to avoid cross-contamination). It absorbs quickly, leaves a light glow but does not feel hydrating enough so I layer on another hydrating serum on top of this. Edited to add: after a couple of months of using this I've stopped because it seriously breaks me out. I think I may have developed some sensitivity this this as it's too strong for me? Unsure but after I cut it out (but maintaining the rest of my routine) I've stopped breaking out Follow me on Instagram @skincredibly.me for more detailed reviews

Dry/Resilient

when you touch the dropper to different surfaces like your skin, things can transfer to the dropper like germs, other skincare etc that can cause this ampoule to become unstable or contaminated and become less effective or even harmful

What does it mean when you say cross-contamination?
