Calm+Restore Re-Hydrating Night Cream

product review positives
I received the Calm+Restore Re-Hydrating Night Cream from Home Tester and Aveeno in exchange for my honest review. π–π‘πšπ 𝐒𝐬 𝐒𝐭? A fragrance free night cream specifically formulated for sensitive skin. It contains soothing prebiotic oat, rich and emollient shea butter, calming feverfew, as well as a mineral complex. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐒𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: ● Glycerin ● Oat kernel flour ● Feverfew ● Shea butter ● Mineral complex 𝐌𝐲 𝐬𝐀𝐒𝐧 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬: Dry, dehydrated, rosacea and Malassezia ("fungal acne") prone skin. Prone to redness, irritation and closed comedones. 𝐌𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐩𝐒𝐧𝐒𝐨𝐧: I was very excited to have the chance to test this moisturizer, as my skin has been craving for some extra TLC lately. Fiest of all, I love the pump packaging. The pump functions seamlessly and I can easily dispense the amount that I need. The consistency of this cream is very soft, not greasy and it's easy to spread on the skin. I also love that it is fragrance free, as my sensitive skin cannot tolerate scented products. I use a full pump for my face. The cream feels nourishing yet lightweight. I was concerned that as it contains shea butter, I expected a greasy feeling and the feel or "suffocated skin", but this didn't occur at all. I'm very happy with that. Since I have rosacea, I have issues with thick, occlusive moisturizers as they tend to heat my skin and trigger flares. This one however, managed to leave me pleasantly surprised. It's no bogus when I say that my skin feels soothed immediately after application. My skin was left moisturized, more calm and less itchy and red. After waking up the next morning though, my skin was feeling a bit dry, so in the following nights I had to top up with additional toner and serums and a bit of another brand's cream, as this cream was a bit too light for my dry skin (that or it absorbed onto my pillow). I feel the cream is kind of sinking into my skin after around 10-20 mins it "disappears" and doesn't feel so moisturizing after that. I use some squalane oil drops on top to form a more occlusive layer for the nighttime and this works for me.
product review negatives
⚠️ If you are allergic to feverfew, you may want to steer clear of this product. This product is not suitable for individuals with Malassezia/Pityrosporum Folliculitis/"fungal acne" skin, as it contains several triggering ingredients.

this looks really interesting! I love the calm+ restore line. I have used the gel moisturizer and I love it. I wonder how it compares.
