After pink tone ups, there came beige… and now purple! 💕🫶🏻💜
-My heart and soul is purple, so I had to get this cushion as soon as I heard of it…
This Korean cushion is really special and was recommended by a celebrity MUA cause which color is cancelled out by purple?
If you’re blonde you already know the answer: it’s yellow!
Both colors are on opposite sides of the color wheel, so purple can make yellow “dissapear”. So blonde hair looks brighter, less yellow and my skin?!
As you can see, the @ameli_official_kr Complement Series Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ on its own makes me look a bit pale since my skin tone is on the yellow side. So using it on its own all over my face is a bit bold… 🤘🏻😎
The same yellow undertones I talked about can make me look a bit dull on some days, though, so when I use it under my foundation or just on parts of my face that I want to make look brighter (all the places where you would highlight), it works as a color correcting primer with SPF and skincare benefits which I like! It only has a few ingredients and protects with a mineral filter (Titanium Dioxide). For additional benefits, Niacinamide and Adenosine were added.
It’s definitely a cute addition to my stash since it isn’t drying (not too moisturizing either though, so for dry skin, a proper skincare routine is needed), doesn’t break down my foundations or BB Creams and doesn’t pill…
Another nice feature: the sleek matte white case with a magnetic closure. Gosh, it’s cute!
One thing though: I’d only recommend it for the lightest of skintones, I don’t think it would work that well on darker beauties…
3.8/5 I’d say…
💛💜If you feel like yellow untertones are keeping your inner light from shining bright sometimes, would you try this cute color correcting cushion?💛💜
On its own, it‘s hard to make it work, especially for darker complexions, but as a color correcting primer with SPF it‘s great!
