How I use it:
In the evening, I apply a pea-sized amount of product on my fingertips and distribute the product evenly on my clean dry face until fully absorbed
Verdict:
!!! DISCLAIMER: I AM AN ADVANCED RETINOID USER!!!
• What I liked about this product:
This serum is hydrating and is very gentle on the skin as I didn't experience irritation. An option for retinoid beginners as it contains a good blend of antioxidant and anti-aging ingredients.
• What I didn't like about this product:
- Despite the term "Advanced" being used in the product's name and "potent" in the product claims, the percentage and potency of retinoid and retinal, which are 2 highlighted ingredients, is low, so this product is not suitable for advanced retinoid users like me. I didn't notice any difference on my skin using this product.
- I dislike the orange color of the product and the yellow hue it leaves on the skin. It needs to be rubbed more than I would like to really blend in and absorb into the skin.
- Leaves a sticky feeling on the skin
- Extremely long list of ingredients, which can increase the risk of skin irritation without easily being able to identify the problem
- On the pricey side ($22 for 30 mL), there are better/more potent retinoid products that are cheaper in my opinion
