The Hollywood Flawless filter is a complexion booster, sort of a cross between makeup and skincare product, in theory.
The claim is it “blurs, smooths, and illuminates for a real-life filter effect. Customize your glow with four ways to apply.”
You can wear this alone, under your makeup, mixed with your foundation, or as a highlighter of sorts.
It has a very light coverage and comes in a dozen shades, in a beautiful glass bottle, with a doe foot applicator.
I’ve tried using this several ways, and while I can attest to it giving a very radiant, illuminated finish my fall down is I’m not seeing the blurring or smoothing here. In fact very much the opposite.
For the first 5 minutes or so it looks nice enough, but as the clock tiks, this highlights my pores, making them look larger and more obvious, it makes every scar, line & wrinkle jump off of my face into clear view. Especially when I wear it without a foundation over it.
Under my foundation, well, it just doesn’t seem to do much of anything honestly. I’m not sure if this is just designed to work only on skin that is already flawless? But on mature skin, nope. This just makes my skin look worse than it did before I applied it so I’ll be skipping this one going forward as it just isn’t worth the $49 price tag, I mean it isn’t worth any price in my opinion.
So bummed, I had high hopes after seeing so many people rave about it online. My guess is they have great skin already, are young, (in both cases they then really do not need a product like this 🤷🏻♀️) or just want to make CT happy and get PR?
This accentuated my pores, wrinkles, scars when worn without makeup. Under foubdation it did very little.
