I received this product for free from Picky and Sooryehan in exchange for my honest review.
Like the more popular brands Pyunkang Yul and Beauty of Joseon, Sooryehan is a Hanbang inspired company. It aims to incorporate traditional Korean medicine with modern day tech advancements. This product, The Black Serum, features Black Exosomes derived from black yeast, and a Black Licorice Complex.
-This product is definitely intended for an older audience from the smell, to the packaging, to the price point(50USD). Especially based on the claims to reduce visible signs of aging and even skin tone.
-When I opened it, I half expected it to be black but it’s a light gel texture that’s a milky white color. The fragrance reminds me of talcum powder. Some might find it a bit strong but it didn’t bother me.
-I’d rate it a 3.8 out of 5
-I didn’t notice much of a difference in skin tone as I’ve not used it up to a month. With the anti aging benefits as well, I’d like to think that being 21 I don’t have many signs of visible aging so I can’t speak on those product claims.
