I've seen some great reviews on the KVD Good Apple Skin Perfecting Foundation Balm. I've also seen reviews that were not so great. When I found this at a highly discounted price, I snatched it up. I'm always looking for that perfect foundation.
Unfortunately I chose a shade that is too light for me, but I can make it work. I mostly use this to lighten and highlight the center of my face. Without the shimmer or sparkle.
I wish I would have picked the correct shade because I'm interested I'm how this would work all over my face. Since it is a foundation balm, it comes in a compact rather than a bottle or tube. The texture is also balmy and thick. I do think it smoothes out well and looks nice on the skin. As long as I don't use too much, which can be tricky because it is 'balmy'.
In my opinion this foundation balm would be best suited for someone with dry skin. This product would probably help to balance the dryness because of it's texture and viscosity. It gives the skin a nice glow. I have combo skin I haven't had any issues with it being too heavy, but I'm light handed when applying. I might avoid this if I had oily skin though.
The packaging is cute. Clear plastic compact that makes it easy when picking out what product you need for the day. It's convenient because it's thin and won't spill.
Overall I think this product is worth a try if it suits your needs and skin type. Especially if you can find it at a good deal like I did. I would be interested in trying it in a shade that matched better. I'd wait until winter comes back though.
The reason I gave it 3 stars is because it''s not a product that I use daily, and I think it isn't ideal for all skin types. If it was more versatile, then I would probably use it more. It's more of a winter product than summer. I would sweat it off in the heat at work.
