My thoughts 💭
Peeling gels are something that never really crossed my radar to try before joining Instagram, but I was instantly intrigued- many said this was a gentler alternative to other methods of exfoliating. As a person that uses
tretinoin and rx azelaic acid, I’m always looking for the gentle options lol.
The first time I used this I left it on for a minute or two before massaging away and I regret that.
Its super creamy, spreads easily. Just apply, massage, the product balls up and provides some light exfoliation, then rinse away.
No need to leave it on for a minute or two like me lol. It made no difference when I did that other than make my products burn a little the next day 🤦🏻♀️
It doesn’t give me any visible differences, but my skin does feel baby soft after using. So there is definitely something to it.
My makeup applies very smoothly the day after I use this. So I’ll keep it around to use the evening before a special occasion since it’s not harsh and seems to even things out nicely.
April Skin is cruelty free and vegan. $23 on their website.
If you leave it on too long before massaging/rinsing away, can be a little irritating.
Some days its a little harder to rinse away than others and can leave a film, a cleanser, toner or washcloth is required.
A little deceptive, it’s not your skin balling up, it is the product. Lol. But as long as you go into it knowing that it’s all good.
