I’ve had a tough time finding concealers I’ve liked. I have dry skin, an under eye area that’s prone to creasing, quite severe dark circles, and I don’t like to wear foundation. I’m basically looking for a medium-full coverage concealer that can cover very very dark circles, has minimal creasing, sits well on dry skin, and has a natural finish that looks good without a full face of makeup. Basically I have a lot of criteria and it’s hard to find anything that hits even just a few of these issues.
This concealer is a lightweight, full coverage concealer designed for normal-dry skin. It has hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid and coconut water, so it works well with my dry skin. It has a skin-like, natural finish that works well with and without foundation. With proper primer and setting powder, the creasing is very very minimal (which is very good my under eye area).
It has a classic concealer tube packaging with a medium doe foot applicator. It blends smoothly and can be layered or built up for more coverage or thinned out for less. I’ve tried a bunch of different methods for applying (warming it up on the back of my hand, applying directly to the skin, beauty sponge, concealer brush, finger tips, etc) and they’ve all worked well. I fluctuate with which method I use depending on my mood or the look I want.
I have not found a concealer that is strong enough to cover my dark circles, even with color correcting. That being said, this one does a good job and hits the rest of my criteria very well. It has a natural finish that’s not matte or dewy so it’s quite forgiving and works well with pretty much any makeup look.
It also has a lot of shades so it’s easy to find something to match your skin. I actually own this in three shades to adjust for my skin tone changes throughout the year.
