This is a really good cleansing oil that is the first step when double cleansing. It is a daily use deep cleansing oil that works to remove blackheads, impurities, makeup and hidden whiteheads and sebum. This works gently and leaves you with a clean residue free face.
This is infused with Azelaic Acid and 4 Acid Complex. It decreases pigmentation, inhibiting an enzyme called tyrosinase that leads to hyperpigmentation, or dark patches of skin. This is why azelaic acid is great for acne breakouts, post-acne scarring and melasma. Fights acne. Azelaic acid kills bacteria on your skin that cause acne. It also uses 19 plant-derived oils that helps to clear both blackheads and whiteheads but again it is gentle on the skin.
The formula also has retinol which It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin texture, evens out skin tone, and can also help treat acne.
It also contain squalane which is a naturally-occurring oil that's used in skincare products for its hydrating and moisturizing benefits. Squalane oil is the saturated form of squalene, which is a key component of sebum (your skin's natural oils). This ingredient has emollient properties that can help smooth and soften your skin.
All of these components work together for cleansing the skin without over drying or irritating the skin. This is my new go to first step for double cleansing and my skin is looking and feeling so much better with a reduced appearance of my pore problems and excess sebum/oils.
