A green, opaque cream-type serum that comes in an airless pump packaging
I use 2 pumps in my PM routine after cleanser on dry skin, to minimize irritation, before moisturizer
I love that it’s encapsulated so it’s quite gentle on my skin and I can use it nightly without the feeling that my barrier is compromised after wearing tight fitting N95 masks for prolonged periods. It’s packed with antioxidants and soothing agents to nourish and protect skin. A great option for aging, problem skin and dullness
Nothing bad to report

This was my introduction to retinol, and was very helpful in getting my skin used to the product. I did not experience any sensitivity or irritation when using this product.
That being said, I also didn’t experience any results. After finishing this tube, I tried The Inkey List’s retinol and within weeks noticied me skin beginning to turn over-something that never happened with this product.
This is also pricy for the amount you get.

A great way to introduce retinol to my routine. I've used it every two days since I first got it two months ago and it hasn't irriated my skin.
I didn't see any results with this product. Most likely because it is a gentle retinol.

This was a great starter retinol for anyone who is starting to incorporate retinol into their routine. It's encapsulated retinol which means it is formulated with other ingredients that helps mitigate the strong affects from pure retinol. It has a nice creamy texture and it feels moisturizing. There is only minimal stinging the first time you try this but I suggest following up with niacinamide to alleviate any irritation or redness. Your skin will be adjusted to the retinol in time.
This retinol is good for first timers and can be incorporated into the skincare routine as a preventive measure. But if you're older, you might need a higher percentage of retinol.

After much fretting and worrying about retinol and its potential flaring side-effects with initial use (serial cheek acne sufferer here!) I took the plunge and chose this product for its claims of gentleness and also other people’s reviews. I’m almost 25 and I know the recommendation is to start using retinoids in your 20s to get the most out of it. And here I am!
I started off using this just once a week, going nice and slow, just one pump at night after cleansing, toning, and treatments and so forth. I used it after moisturising. The product is creamy, smooths over well, very subtle scent. Expensive smelling actually! But it’s not a pervasive fragrance by any means. The morning after applying, I noticed some new whiteheads would appear. I put this down to mild purging.
Recently, after 4-5 weeks of once-weekly applications at night, I’ve stepped it up to 2-3 times a week as a night cream. So this goes on after my serums have absorbed! Seen great results! Inflammation and post acne marks visibly reduced the next morning. I’m looking forward to using this in conjunction with tranexamic acid as I’ve read that’s meant to complement retinol really well.
It contains shea which Picky warns against for people of my skin type - oiliness! But I don’t have mega oily skin and personally haven’t had issues with it. I wouldn’t recommend this product to seasoned retinoid users either, this is very much in the slow lane of vitamin A products! Nothing negative to say of the product itself - it’s a great starter!

It's definetely pretty mild. It goes on smoothly and isn't too heavy, and it's easy to spread.
I continue to use this product only because I don't have another retinol. After consisten use for months I have seen zero results, which was disheartening after reading so many great things about retinols. It didn't hurt to try, and the mildness may be great for some people but not for me.

Lightweight creamy texture. No tackiness whatsoever. Sensitized my skin when I first started using it but nothing too bad and is a gentle starter retinol. Saw improvement in skin texture as early as 2nd week. My skin always looks and feels the best the following day as it looks plump and brighter. Also love the recyclable, airless pump.
Only used it 2x/week at first then moved up to 3x/week and experience MINIMAL tingling at times my skin barrier is compromised. Been using for 4months and no significant difference in fine lines so might be suited for younger people as prevebtative measure.

The Break Down:
🔆 Formulated with sensitive skin in mind
🔆 Perfect for a first time retinol
🔆 Contains Bakuchiol (0.05%) which is believed to be similar to retinol but less irritating and Encapsulated Retinol (0.03%) to meaning the retinol will be released gradually which is also less irritating and is believed to lead to better absorption
🔆 Vegan
🐇 Cruelty free
My Thoughts:
🔆 So the skin on my face are past a gentle retinol like this so I figured I could test is on my tushie 🙃🍑
🔆 I really did find this to be gentle, and also kinda cooling with a hint of freshness when you smell it
🔆 I do see some signs of firmness after a month's use and over all its a really great product
It's a gentle retinol, great to start with maybe not great if you are looking for something stronger

I really love the consistency, price point, and feel on my skin. It is non-irritating. Really enjoyed it!
Did not see any results, but I know results from retinoids can take a while. The % is also low.

This was my first retinol product and it made everything so easy. This was gentle enough that I didn’t experince any breakouts or dryness even when I moved to using it 3 times a week. I noticed my skin cleared out and my smile lines were less noticeable.
I really reccomend it for new retinol users.
