I would prefer liquid foundation. I am a lazy girl who hates cleaning beauty tools. I usually spread the liquid foundie using my fingers until it's well blended.
But cushion is more convenient for traveling, I won't have to worry about the foundie getting spilt out.

Liquid often lasts longer because it usually has a more durable formula. You can find long wear versions that stay put all day and transfer proof
Might need more frequent touch-ups because it tends to be lighter and can wear off faster. But ofc, some cushions are designed for longer wear. For example:TirTir(Haven’t tried them but heard a lot of good reviews and lasts 72hrs)
If you want long lasting results, liquid foundation might be a better choice.

I use both. Liquid foundation when at home. Cushion foundation while I'm outside 😁

I don't use foundation very often but I find that the cushion foundation uses up very quickly in comparison to liquid foundation. In terms of which wears better, I am honestly not sure.
