So I use medicated contacts and the way I do it is:
1. Wear before your apply any skincare or makeup
2. Start with the right eye holding it open with your index finger and thumb. (Left hand)
3. Pick the contact with your right index finger
4. Blink a few times and hold still for few seconds, then place the contact on your pupil, when it attaches, close your eye for about 5 seconds then blink.
5. Repeat and viola!!
Or
Look away, place the contact and look back, then blink (your eyes should be widely opened)
Lastly take off your makeup, wash your face before you take of your contact lenses.
PS: always wear your contacts before your start your makeup.

Thank you for this! I was basically going the first way you said (aside the blinking, this seems like a really good step) but as you said, I was probably making it harder for myself as I put them in after doing my make up and not before so when holding my eyes open my false lashes were getting in the way.
Thank you for both ways of tips! Will definitely remember to put contacts in before doing my make up next time 😄

If the contact lenses don't stick to your eyes at all, they might be inside out; flip them in some solution, so they stay wet and don't tear, and put them on again. Always wash your hands before you touch them.
There are so many different ways to put them in your eyes. I just try to keep my eye open with one hand, and use the other to insert. My mum used to need an hour to put them on; she eventually had eye surgery because she didn't want to use the lenses anymore. I only need a couple of minutes.

Thank you for his tip! The box came with a little tweezer and stick set (to help put the contacts in) but I did end up using my finger to put it in with my bf holding my eye open 🤣

I tend to use my left index finger to press my eyelashes up so it lifts my eyelid and use my right index finger to apply

Always wash your hands first before putting them.
And I put them first before putting any make up on.
Hold your lower eyelid with your middle or ring finger of your dominant hand. Try to look forward, or up if you can't look straight ahead. Place the lens in your eye. Close your eyes slowly and let the lens settle into place.
When I was a beginner, I also find it hard to put the lense when I’m on a rush so I always try to calm my nerves first. Now that I have a lot of practice, I can put it anytime, even without a mirror.

Ah I need to practise lots then!
Yeah I think after this time, putting them in before my make up is probably the best way to go! I couldn’t pull my eyelid properly as my lashes were getting in the way 🤣
Thank you for the tip! 🫶

I put my lenses on after cleansing and before skincare when skin is dry. I hold my right eye open using the ring and index fingers, left hand (i place it under the brow, pull up) and ring finger, right hand (eyebag area, pull down) - lens on my middle finger and there u go.
I also put a few drops of lubricating or hydrating eye solution/eye drops suited for contact lens.
Practice would be helpful too.
