Arencia Mochi Cleanser—terrible marketing?
At first I wanted to try out this cleanser—mask—scrub. After seeing genuine reviews; I changed my mind.
I’ve heard it smells like a cheap hotel soap & burns around the eyes (of course product is not meant to go around/be in the eyes. Cleansers I use do NOT burn around the eyes when accidentally washing there).
The price—
The price is quite expensive ($22-26) for a cleanser/mask. I would generally spend about 9-15 MAX on a cleanser. Maybe I’m just broke? 😂
The ingredient list—
The ingredient list is incredibly long and has a bunch of unnecessary ingredients. Many that are not suitable for fungal acne & comedones. The active ingredients WOULD be good if it was a serum or moisturizer, but this is a cleanser which is not going to sit on the skin, it’s going to be washed off, in my opinion useless.
Finally the marketing—
My major ick with this brand is the unnecessary waste of product for ragebait/wasteful marketing for interaction. The first time or two it was like “wow”, after seeing 5+ videos with a massive amount of product being touched all over with hands (making it unsanitary for future use—these influencers won’t use it after anyways though..) definitely disappointed me. I believe this is a good tactic the first time (or two)..i personally think that they could’ve invested in better marketing & creating/making the product worth the money; especially considering the price. A lot of the (sponsored) videos i see with this product are NON-DISCLOSED ADS (this is illegal..!) and the honest reviews I see only have one good thing to say about this product—“I like the texture”. Everything else is quite bad such as overly stripping while still leaving a film of residue, price, scent, and irritating ingredients.
Would I buy it?
No! I would’ve before looking into it though.
Am I just dramatic? There are many other brands that use this tactic. I’m tired of it.
Have you tried this cleanser?
Did you like it?
