For water resistant sunscreens it's best to double cleanse. That's the whole point right? You want the sunscreen to stay whole day yet you are not willing to take extra steps to cleanse it off? It really depends, if you have a cleanser that is harsher it might work. But obviously there will be downsides. If you feel that it is clean then ok but you'll need to experiment. If your sunscreen isn't cleaned off then you'll experience clogged pores, if your cleanser is too harsh it might harm your skin barrier. Either choose a lightter sunscreen that you reapply every few hours or just double cleanse for the safest bet.

The surfactants in facial cleanser are capable of dissolving oil and water. Water resistant sunscreen is just a bit harder to wash off, but not impossible. You could use a very gentle cleanser twice or double cleansing. The only article on double cleasing did suggest that double cleansing is better for washing off water resistant sunscreen.

Hi! its actually best to double cleanse, cleansers that can remove water resistant sunscreen (i dont even know one) are probably very harsh to be able to do that. If you dpnt want to buy another cleanser then just cleanse twice (could be drying thouh) but its best to use oil based cleanser OR micellar water then water based cleanser :)

Double cleansing is really the best bet that you’re getting all of it off your skin before you sleep. Just curious if there’s a reason you want to avoid double cleansing?
