Opinion on do's and dont's skincare ingredients cheat sheet?

In my country, and beauty community, this cheat sheet is very popular. Many of them believe this, they are afraid to layer nicinamide with vitamin C since they read this cheat sheet when there's no source and science behind this. People would ask, "In the cheat sheet I read somewhere, we can't combine niacinamide and vit c, so why klairs has vit c and niacinamide in it?" While I do layer niacinamide with vit c as well as retinoids ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿ‘„๐Ÿ‘๏ธ and my skin never been this smooooooth and glowyyyy โœจ Imo, as long as your skin is doing fine, you can layer whatever ingredients that treat your skin concern. Don't forget to ask your doctor or ask someone who has knowledge about skincare, etc. (Sorry the picture came out blurry)

In my opinion if the product already has both ingredients in, they would work with each other because it is formulated to. If you combine different products from different company, that might increase risk of irritation. After all there is not just one type of AHA, Retinoid, and Vit C Theyโ€™re many in between. This is just a general rule

thats just wrong ! the myth that you cannnot combine niac and vit arosw from studies where they used very unstable and high potent forms of vitc and niac ! these were debunked by recent studies with stable and lower concentrations ! niacinamide can be combined with every ingredient and it works really well with vitc in terms of beightening

This is kinda the general rule. It all depends on the concentration and the formulation. If the product such as the ordinary peeling solution , it already being formulated with aha and bha together despite the high percentage. I am sure the dermatologist and chemist already considered the pro and cons before launching it. And vitamin c has lot of derivatives : 1. tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (THD), 2.magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (MAP), 3.ascorbyll glucoside. 4.bis-glyceryl ascorbate 5. 3-O ethyl ascorbic acid 6. L-ascorbic acid ( pure form of vit c ) And etc. Since it is a derivatives , it is much more stable and gentle to skin hence it can be combined and used with other ingredients such aha bha without causing any irritation. At the end of the day , always listen to your skin. If it causes irritation, stop the usage and change your routine.
