KRAVE BEAUTY — LGBTQA+ & BIPOC

Recently, Krave Beauty has been hit with several allegations of being unfair towards BIPOC creators and their CEO, Liah Yoo’s involvement in an anti-homosexual church. You can look up posts on the @theholyglosspel IG account for further details. As a member/an ally of the LGBTQA+ community and an advocate for BIPOC, this is hurtful considering how my money went to a brand that doesn't even care about the very community that supported them. I decided to stop supporting Krave Beauty. With that being said, I’m still okay with people supporting the brand. It’s just my preference and the fact that the brand doesn't align with my ethics anymore. How about you? What’s your take on the issue?

My money had power. We have power to change things. I agree with you. We can decide either to support or not but we can’t force other people to do the same thing. They can decide where to put their money according to their ethics

liah yoo just posted another response (link below). i think its a good apology and she seems to be really genuine. im not sure if ill be supporting krave beauty but at least shes going in the right direction. ive never tried their products and theyre way out of my budget anyway. there are also other issues with bipoc that they need to address. https://www.instagram.com/p/CNqmxjUrvya/

I just placed an order before I heard about all of this news. So I'm going to use up what I have and then, well, I'm not comfortable supporting Krave anymore unfortunately due to the types of answers given in response to the recent issues. I would be more apt to reconsider this if there was a truly honest announcement to the consumers, but even then it would depend. I'm not against people and their religions. But I also believe her initial responses to the LGBTQ+ issues were not clearly supportive of the community so that's my hangup there. 🤷‍♀️
