Most of the skincare you'd use is safe during pregnancy/breastfeeding too. Generally retinoids (tretinoin, retinol, retinal etc.) are not advised to use. Some doctors say that you can't use BHAs some say it's fine up to 2%. Personally I wouldn't use too high of a % AHAs like those 15%+ Glycolic peels because my OBGYN said not to. Benzoyl Peroxid is supposed to be fine up to 5% but I've never used it thus haven't asked my doc about it. Azelaic acid can be your safest bet for breakouts.
I hate the fearmongering about chemical sunscreens during pregnancy as well...
But I'd ask my doctor about it beforehand, just to be safe. Also congrats😊

Hmm this is confusing. Better go to obgyn to discuss about this. As i know don't use salicylic acid, retinol products. So you can avoid these ingredients from the brand you wanna use
