Cleansing balms, cleansing oils, or micellar water?

Which would you prefer and what products would you recommend? Can you also share what you liked about it? Someone said to me before that after using a micellar water, I should also use cleansing balms/oil after. Is that correct? Isn't a micellar water an oil-based cleanser already?

I think you only need one for your first step in double cleansing (micellar water, balms or oils). I’ve only used micellar water and cleansing balm (haven’t tried cleansing oils yet so I hope I can win the iUNIK giveaway 🤞🏼) Anyways, I’ve been using the Nivea micellar water for two years since it is available in my place and it’s cheaper. It removes my sunscreen well and makeup. Nowadays, I am also using the Heimish cleansing balm especially on days that I’m wearing heavy makeup and whenever I do my pamper session since it’s very relaxing to use.

I have used both cleansing balm and micellar water. Cleansing balm is gentle and need to be emulsified with water before washing it off. I use it to double cleanse at night. Micellar water can be used with cotton pads and cleanses sunscreen/makeup I use for the day. I like both cleanses as balms is easy to use and not messy while micellar water is easy to use and quick. Both cleanse well. I follow up with a cleanser after balms or micellar water.

I only tried micellar water since it is more affordable. It can remove makeup but you really need to use a lot of cotton pads. But I would really want to try cleansing balms so that I can lessen the waste in the environment.

I personally prefer cleansing oils. I just find them a bit lighter and easier to remove over balms.

Interesting. Thank you! I always thought balms would do that instead of oils.
