uh isntree spf sun burn??

Hi everyone, so we all know the purito controversy and ended up in a bunch of chemical spfs getting taken down and reformulated, and a lot of us have been using the isntree watery sun gel spf 50++++. I’ve been using it for the past month of staying indoors all day or so and I really love it, however, this morning when I went out to mow the lawn (it’s spring-ish in Michigan) like half an hour after applying it, I came back and my face is bURNED, red and sensitive. I haven’t had a sunburn in so long it feels so foreign ughhh plus I just exfoliated last night too 😳. I had slathered on like a whole tablespoon of it Idk why, I even wore a hat and a mask to avoid pollen :((( Has anyone else encountered burning with this spf? Or is it just me? I really hope it is 50++++ otherwise I’d be so sad

Makes me doubt again knowing that it has the same texture as those involved in scandals. I also heard that these aren't stocked too and now I'm hoping that it's not pulled from shelves like what happened to Krave before they released a statement 🤔

Did you apply it twice (once, and then again after 30 minutes) before going outside? Even a factor 30 should protect you sufficiently if applied correctly. It could be that the SPF is really low (like 4-8) or that your exfoliation made your skin too sensitive.

I applied it 30 mins before I went out into the sun! It could be that I was under the sun for too long maybe, and yeah the sensitivity from exfoliation makes sense too. Thank you!! I’ll be more careful next time :))

That's sad. I used mine on the beach with just a cap for extra protection. I even got wet from swimming and island hopping. I had been out for 3 hours without reapplying it and I did not burn or tan. It is also SPF 50+ PA ++++.

I never tried this one and that is terrifying you ended up with a red face! I mostly use japanese and european sunscreen (spf50+ pa++++ never less)and with them I don't have that problem! I know these have a very high uva protection as well 👉
